Our story starts with an eye for precision
In 1984, an international model fell hard for the beautifully crafted tools used backstage in Japanese Kabuki theaters and on Tokyo fashion runways. She shared that appreciation with a makeup artist she knew in the U.S., and Japonesque was born.
For years, we were a backstage secret, available exclusively to makeup artists until the early 2000s. Today, you'll find us at major retailers across the U.S. What hasn't changed is our commitment to quality.
